No, I do not offer any discounts.
That is up to you and your student! I designed these courses to reflect a year worth of content in a high school level course. However, because it is a flex course, the pacing is up to you. I will touch base with you if I notice no activity for several weeks, but there are no deadlines imposed within the course.
For your convenience, I do have a pacing guide that breaks each course up into 25-30 weeks (roughly one school year) depending on the course.
My courses are designed for middle and high school level students and reflect that in layout and rigor. Personally, I do not think my courses are engaging or educationally appropriate for elementary age students. If you are looking for classes geared for elementary age students, I would encourage you to look at an old friend of mine who teaches on Out School, Karyn Wrachford.
On their own, most likely not. To gain true fluency in any language, you need to use it in real world situations with native speakers/signers. What I can do is give you and your students a solid foundation in ASL vocabulary, grammar, and Deaf culture. I can also give you the skills to interact with the Deaf community and engage with them in conversations so you can reach your full potential with ASL.
That depends how you plan to use this course on your child's transcripts. Many parents list it as an elective while others list it as a World Language. Any inquiries regarding credits or transcripts should be directed to the Department of Education.
